Sheridan County’s Commissioners have voted to approve a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for construction of a building to be used for a business on property located on Decker Road.
County Planner Mark Reid explained the application further during the recent commission meeting.
The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended the application for approval with a few conditions.
There was one person that spoke against the application during the public hearing, citing concerns over increased traffic in the area and lighting from the business, access from the highway, as well as possible outdoor activities on the site.
Tyffani Harbaugh, manager for Golden Bungalow Properties, suggested that if the outdoor activities were a concern to her neighbors, she would remove that request from the CUP.
The commission, after further discussion, voted to approve the CUP, saying landowners have the right to do with their property as they see fit, as long as it doesn’t impose too much on their neighbors.
