The Red Cross has put out a call for nurses, attendants, both men and women, bedding, night clothes, woolen clothes and other materials in the fight that is being waged against the influenza epidemic.

The fall campaign at the sugar factory was instituted today, the day being chiefly devoted to getting things into smooth operation.

Six clerks and carriers connected with the local post office are laid up and off duty because of illness from influenza.

The Spanish flu has left Buffalo without a doctor to meet the needs of the community. Both doctors have been laid up with the disease, and one has been brought to Sheridan.
