The fourth annual New Year’s Eve Gala benefiting the Dog and Cat Shelter will take place from 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Quintana Ballroom.

The person behind all of the gala, Katusha Quintana and her husband, Julio, appeared alongside Dog and Cat Shelter Executive Director AJ Evans and Assistant Director Hannah Edwards to reveal the theme for the gala that will ring in 2027.

The Rio de Janeiro Carnival-style celebration will feature a DJ, live music from eight-piece band Groove Stampede and Latin and traditional cuisine prepared by Bonnie Tagtow and Julie Norskog.

Taking place at the Quintana Ballroom, Julio said the cost of the ticket covers the buyer’s entertainment, drinks and food for the entire night. But the cost of the ticket does not pay for the gala itself, that cost is covered by sponsors.
