The 18 remaining saloons in the city of Sheridan will close their doors at midnight tonight as prohibition takes effect in the nation. Some of the proprietors have made no plans for the future, while many of them will engage in the sale of soft drinks in their places of business.
Miss Annabel Krout, one of the Sheridan high school graduates in the class of 1919, was married yesterday to Mr. William Craig, an employee in the Crystal Bakery. The ceremony occurred in Hardin.
Mrs. Ed Powers and Mrs. J. Mullen and children are leaving tomorrow for the ranch near Clearmont, where they will stay until school convenes next fall.
Over 15 cars could be counted in Tongue river canyon yesterday.
