Buffalo Police Chief: Calls Down But More Arrests in January

Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in his report tmthe city council Tuesday evening, said overall, calls were down during the month of January but officers made more arrests.

Bissett said there were 2,485 calls for service during the month with 211 of those Emergency 911 calls.

The 2,085 calls are down 400 or so from January of 2021.

He talked about the higher number of arrests.

Bissett said he was proud of the men and women working for him during this last month.
