The Trail End State Historic Site will look at the contrast of the Kendrick’s lives

March 14, 2022

The site is the location of the historic Kendrick Manson, built by one of Sheridan’s most influential former residents, John B. Kendrick.

The site was closed for the winter season in December. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Site Superintendent Sharie Shada told listeners how she and her team use this time to freshen up the mansion.

This year’s new exhibit will look at the Kendrick’s family’s time on their ranches. Although the home was extremely technologically advanced for its time, the Kendrick children were ranch kids at heart and, according to Shada, felt more comfortable on the ranch than in the mansion.
