High Fuel Prices and the Tourism Industry

High fuel prices have taken a toll on the tourism industry, as many Americans have altered their summer travel plans due to the price at the pump. Sheridan County Travel and Tourism Director Shawn Parker says high fuel prices will inevitably have an impact on tourism in Sheridan.

Parker said that people, for the most part, are price sensitive on fuel.

Parker said one of the things that they are excited about is the return of the international market, as over the last six months to a year they’ve seen strong demand and increase from Europe, Canada, Mexico and Australia.
