The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) will be in Buffalo on Saturday, August 6 selling Forget-Me-Not flowers to raise funds for veterans.
Buffalo’s Vice-Mayor Wes Haskins made a proclamation during the city council’s last meeting asking residents to support their cause and help them raise funds for the Wyoming State Veteran’s Home and to the DAV transportation networks to help provide free rides for local veterans to get to VA medical appointments.
Robert Ross, senior vice commander for the DAV Chapter 9 in Sheridan/Johnson Counties, accepted the proclamation from the city, and then presented two Certificates of Appreciation, one for City Clerk Julie Silbernagel and one for the city itself, for their work for the DAV.
The certificates thanked Silbernagel and the city for their “continued support of the DAV and its mission of fulfilling their promises to the men and women who served.”
