ARPA Grants
The application deadline for American Rescue Plan Act grants through the SLIB Board is August 12. The Sheridan City Council will be considering three separate resolutions at their upcoming business meeting Monday night that would allow Public Works Director Hanns Mercer to apply for funding for three projects.

Mercer said the Main Street Dow to Burkitt project that’s scheduled for next year and the 16-inch Airport water transmission main project are the two projects that the City would apply for funding through the the Water and Sewer ARPA Grant Program. The amount the City would be requesting for the Main Street project is $3.8 million and the amount for the Airport water transmission project is $2.7 million.
The third resolution would be to apply for $275,000 in funds through the Health and Human Capital Construction ARPA Grant program for the acquisition of land for a substation for the Fire Department. All three of the resolutions will come before the City Council for consideration Monday night.
