Sheridan started conference play, Big Horn and Tongue River competed in the Big Horn Invitational, and Arvada-Clearmont played the Buffalo Freshmen.
Sheridan: The Lady Broncs started 4A East Conference play on Friday, September 9th, and dropped their home opener vs. Natrona 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-7).
On Saturday, Sheridan was on the road and lost at Cody 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-14).
SHS is 5-9 on the 2022 season with an 0-1 record in the 4A East.
The next scheduled games are on Friday, September 16th at Thunder Basin and on Saturday, September 17th vs. Campbell County.
Big Horn: The Lady Rams hosted and won their own invitational vs. 15 other teams.
On Friday, BH defeated 1A Upton 2-0 (25-10, 25-14), Big Piney 2-0 (25-15, 25-6) and Lingle-Ft. Laramie 2-0 (25-21, 25-16).
Saturday was bracket play.
Big Horn defeated Lingle-Ft. Laramie again 2-0 (25-12, 25-21), then beat Wright in the semi-finals 2-0 (25-10, 25-14) and then defeated Tongue River in the championship match 2-1 (25-17, 20-25, 15-8).
The Lady Rams are now 15-3 on the 2022 season.
The next scheduled games are on Friday, September 16th at Wright (start of 2A Northeast Conference play), and on Saturday, September 17th at 3A Thermopolis.
Tongue River:
The Lady Eagles were at the Big Horn Invitational and finished in 2nd place, but not all scores have been reported in.
On Friday, Tongue River lost vs. 1A Riverside 2-0 (25-11, 25-20), then defeated Lusk (unknown scores) and 1A Burlington (unknown scores).
Saturday was bracket play.
TR defeated Rocky Mountain (unknown scores) and 1A Riverside 2-1 (25-22, 22-25, 18-16), the lost to Big Horn in the championship game 2-1 (25-17, 20-25, 15-8).
The Lady Eagles are 10-5-2 on the 2022 season.
The next scheduled game is on Saturday, September 17th at 1A Burlington.
Arvada-Clearmont:
On Thursday, the Lady Panthers lost at home vs. Buffalo’s Freshman team 3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 13-25, 25-20)
A-C is 1-3 on the 2022 season, with a 1-1 record in the 1A Northeast.
The next scheduled games are on Friday, September 16 at Kaycee, and Saturday, September 17th at home vs. Hulett.
