Bronc Football Headed to Team Camp / TR (NLI) Signing / Troopers hit the Road This Week

TR (NLI) SIGNING – A multi-sport athlete at Tongue River high school will continue to participate in one sport at the collegiate level. Javin Walker has signed his national letter of intent to be on the track and field team at Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota.

Last year as a Junior he was the 2A boys state runner-up in the triple jump and the 300 meter hurdles events. He also played football and basketball for the Eagles.

Walker says he used the other two sports to condition for track and field, which is a sport that tends to be more competitive for him.

BRONC FOOTBALL – The Sheridan Bronc football team is preparing for their team camp in Chadron, Nebraska they leave Thursday, Head coach Jeff Mowry says they are thrilled to have more than 80 players going to compete.

And he talks about the coaching staff’s big take away from team camp.

And he says Thursday starts the push to the 2023 season.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers will be on the road this week to open a four day tournament in Laramie they open on Thursday.

Next home games for the Troops will be on the 13th and 14th when they have back to back double headers with the Rapid City Expos and a week from Saturday they will open league play hosting two with Casper.
