Buffalo Council OK’s Request from Friends Feeding Friends

A local group feeding schoolkids during the summer has approached the Buffalo City Council for permission to use Washington Park for distribution.

Breeann Waller, with Johnson County Friends Feeding Friends, told the council they had been given a grant to purchase a food van for distribution purposes.

She explained what the organization needs from the city.

Waller said the food van is not yet ready to be delivered so the request is for next summer.

The council approved the request.
