Those who were either seeking jobs, seeking employees or just testing the waters to see what’s out there, got a chance to see either what kind of work is available, or who might fit in good with their company.

The 10th annual Sheridan Career Fair was held on Wednesday (April 24th) at the Sheridan College Golden Dome, as more than 60 businesses were on hand to take applications and some either set up times for future interviews, or did an on the spot interview with potential employees.

Maggie Randall with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says depending on the job and company, the style of how an interview is conducted, has changed some over the years, particularly when the covid outbreak started.

“I think these days more companies are doing panel interviews, so in your interview you have to impress more than just 1 person. When you go into an interview, you really need to be prepared to interview the person that you’re talking to, and it’s not just them asking you questions, you need to decide about the company that you want to work for.”

About 300-400 potential employees attended the career fair.
