Typically, the lifespan of concrete surface roadways is approximately eight to nine years longer than that of traditional asphalt.
Barnum Construction was the lowest bidder for the resurfacing portion of the project with a bid of $2.184 million.
According to Schrader, funding for the project came from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding.
