Johnson County School District #1 Board member Randy Brown has resigned from his position and the district will now look to fill his seat for the remainder of his term.
As part of their consent agenda at their July 8 meeting, the board approved the need to post a vacancy to fill the position for the balance of his term that concludes at the end of 2024.
Brown was elected to the school board in 2020.
According to information on the agenda, the District will post for two weeks and accept letters of interest to be reviewed at the next work session which is scheduled for Wednesday, August 7.
