News – Sheridan Media
WYO Performing Arts and Education Center Executive Director Erin Butler and Board Chair Ken Thorpe appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the beer-loving community to the Seventh Annual Untapped Homebrew Festival.
This unique celebration of beers and craft will be held on Brundage Street, between Main and Brooks streets, and features 35 homebrewed beers from the Sheridan Region and as far away as Billings MT.
Thorpe, who serves on the festival’s planning committee, said the partnership with the Bighorn Homebrew Club is a key driving force behind the event.

Butler said the event provides opportunities to taste and enjoy unique beers of many varieties, some with experimental flavors and ingredients, many with names that can leave one chuckling.

The event’s music lineup begins with the Big Horn Alphorns, followed by Cruisin’ Lite, We’re Here for the Beer Polka Band, and Mark Paninos. Barbecue will be provided by Rollin’ Smoke.
Festival goers can vote for their favorite brew, with the winner receiving the Denny Gresham People’s Choice Award, a $250 cash prize, and plenty of bragging rights. A second $250 prize will be awarded for Best in Show, chosen by judges from Black Tooth Brewing Company. The winner of the Brewers Choice Award will be featured on tap at Black Tooth for a limited run.
Cost is $25 per person, tickets are on sale now and available at the WYO Theater box office or online at wyotheater.com.
