The Sheridan County Fair kicks off July 26, and concludes Monday, Aug. 4, with the Sheridan County Fair Youth Livestock Sale.
Sheridan County 4-H and FFA members have spent the year learning, working, and caring for their livestock. Members must not only care for and nurture their livestock, but also learn how to properly show them. The fair offers the opportunity to put that hard work on display at the fairgrounds.
Dinner is organized by the Sheridan County Cattlewomen, Sheridan County 4-H, FFA, the Sheridan County Fair Association, and the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Ag & Natural Resources Committee.
Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore said the dinners are more than just meals, they are opportunities to meet and greet the families who have dedicated time and effort to raising some of the best livestock Sheridan has to offer.

The sale features 4-H and FFA members who have raised and prepared their market animals. Held in the Exhibit Hall, it’s a highlight for the entire Sheridan ag community.
In 2024, the Youth Livestock Sale sold 218 animals, bringing in more than $619,000 for Sheridan’s youth.
