Colorado Woman Sentenced to Prison for Methamphetamine Distribution

In the fall of 2024, Amanda Whitebull was arrested and charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance – methamphetamine.  The arrest was part of an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation into an extensive methamphetamine distribution ring that involved many other individuals. Whitebull was responsible for trafficking large quantities of fentanyl and methamphetamine from Colorado to Sheridan County between May 29, 2024 and August 16, 2024.

At sentencing Tuesday in District Court, Sheridan County Deputy Attorney and Prosecuting Attorney for the State Christopher LaRosa, argued for a 4 to 6 year prison sentence for Whitebull, saying that she was the source, and the source has to be punished. LaRosa also pointed out that this is her third felony conviction and her criminal history dates back two decades.

District Court Judge Darci Phillips agreed with LaRosa’s argument and sentenced Whitebull to 4 to 6 years in a facility to be determined by the Wyoming Department of Corrections. Whitebull was ordered to pay $375 in court costs and assessments and was given credit for two days of time served for presentence confinement.
