The Make-A-Wish Foundation, whose mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, recently helped a young Clearmont man with his wish.
Bronc Vineyard, Senior at A/C School, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2023. His wish, which the Foundation granted, was to add a new flatbed to his pickup, as well as adding a grill guard and a toolbox with tools.

After several treatments for leukemia, Bronc has now been in remission for almost two years. “I’m getting close to the end of my treatments,” he said. He added that before the doctors can consider him totally cancer free, he has to remain in remission for five years. He said he hopes his treatments will be finished by the beginning of 2027, then he will only need periodic checkups.
He said that Make-a-Wish was for youngsters who are battling cancer or any life-threatening disease.
Bronc’s mother, Amy Vineyard, said that battling cancer is tough.
She had this to say about the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Bronc had this advice for other young people who are facing cancer or any life-threatening illnesses.
Bronc added that he missed a good part of his sophomore year, due to the cancer and the treatments, but he was able to go to school full time for his junior and senior years. After graduation he plans to move to Arizona and attend Grand Canyon University and major in finance and economics.
