The Bighorn Arts Collective has announced the Americana duo The Imaginaries will headline this year’s Collective Arts Festival on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Whitney Commons in Sheridan.
The Collective Arts Festival is a free, family-friendly festival that celebrates the vibrant arts community of the Sheridan Region through live music, visual arts, performances, hands-on activities, food vendors, and collaborative programming from member organizations of the Bighorn Arts Collective.
The Imaginaries have built a national following through performances across the country and collaborations with artists including Judy Collins, John Fullbright, and Vince Gill. Their appearance at the Collective Arts Festival marks the group’s first performance in Sheridan.
“We’re thrilled to welcome The Imaginaries to Sheridan as this year’s festival headliner,” Executive Director of the Brinton Museum and President of the Bighorn Arts Collective Kendra Heimbuck said. “Their music feels perfectly suited to the spirit of this event — community-centered, energetic, creative, and accessible. We’re excited to bring people together for a full day celebrating the arts in all forms.”
According to the Bighorn Arts Collective, the Collective Arts Festival was created to highlight the strength and diversity of the local arts community while encouraging collaboration between organizations, artists, performers, and audiences. The event will feature live performances throughout the day, interactive arts experiences, local and regional artists, food and beverage vendors, and activities for all ages.
The Bighorn Arts Collective said additional festival details, including a full schedule of performances and participating organizations, will be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2026 Collective Arts Festival will take place Saturday, Aug. 8 at Whitney Commons in downtown Sheridan. Admission is free and open to the public.
