An ordinance revising chapters 4, 8, and 18 of City of Sheridan Code was unanimously approved on first reading by the City Council at their recent business meeting. City Clerk Ashlee Foster says the ordinance establishes the related code framework necessary to support implementation of a special events policy that will define expectations for applicants, improve interdepartmental coordination, and provide more consistent administration and enforcement related to special events.
Foster said the special events policy will be on the agenda for the City Council’s July 6 business meeting, concurrent to third and final reading of the ordinance to revise code pertaining to special event permits, alcohol permitting procedures, liquor license administrative processes, and associated Master Fee Schedule references.
