Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Teresa Detimore made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to announce the date for the Buyers’ Dinner for the 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale.

Organized by the Livestock Sale Committee, Sheridan County Cattlewomen, Sheridan County 4-H, Sheridan County Fair Association and the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Ag & Natural Resources Committee the dinner is much more than just a meal. These dinners offer opportunities to meet and greet the families who have dedicated time and effort to raising some of the best livestock Sheridan has to offer. 

As a livestock judge himself, Sheridan County Commissioner Nick Siddle said the sale (which has broken records in recent years) is a testament to the hard work of the young club members. A bittersweet day for many of the sellers, some of these dedicated youth will use the funds raised through the sale of their animal to pay for next year’s livestock and feed, others use it to fund their future.

The Buyers’ Dinner for 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale will be 4 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.
