JCSD1 Board Votes to Increase Meal Prices for 2026-27 School Year

During their recent regular meeting, the Johnson County School Board considered increasing meal prices for the coming school year.

According to information in their agenda, meal prices across the board were proposed to increase by 25 cents each, except adult prices, as explained during the meeting.

Prices are set at different rates at the different schools and also set differently for students and for adults

Adult prices went from $2.00 to $2.40 for breakfast; $4.30 to $4.75 for lunch; and $4.00 to $4.25 for salad bar.

The board voted to approve the increases in price, the first increase since the 2023-24 school year.
