A Buffalo man is accused of assaulting 2 females this past weekend.
According to a media release from the Buffalo Police Department and Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell Wilcox has been charged with 2 counts of attempted 2nd degree murder, 2 counts of aggravated assault and battery, and 2 counts of aggravated kidnapping.
Just after 8:15am on Sunday, September 13th, law enforcement responded to an incident on the Clear Creek Trail System involving a reported assault.
Both victims were transported to the Johnson County Healthcare Center for medical evaluation and treatment.
The investigation is on-going and further details will be released as the investigation allows.
Wilcox is being held in the Johnson County Detention Center on $2-million bond.
A person convicted of second degree murder and aggravated kidnapping can be sentenced to anywhere between 20 years to life in prison.
Aggravated assault and battery is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
