Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Oct. 19, 1919.
Ben Beckett, who resides in a tent at Sixth and Main streets was taken to the hospital at 3 o’clock this afternoon in serious condition as the result of inhaling gas from an open burner on a cook stove. He has no remembrance as to the cause of the accident.
The opening of the new Lobby cafe yesterday was the occasion of a number of dinner parties there.
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Miller entertained the Saturday Evening 500 Club at their home at 405 E. Brooks street last night. The rooms were artistically decorated with yellow chrysanthemums.
Dr. W.H. Roberts left today for the east to visit friends and do post graduate work.
