Council Approves Addendum to Liquor License Resolution and Addresses County Islands
The issue of county islands, or areas of unincorporated property surrounded by city property, and the problem the islands pose in creating split ballots in the upcoming election, was brought to the City Council’s attention in January by Sheridan County Clerk Eda Schunk Thompson. The Council Monday night approved a motion to authorize staff to begin the process of identifying the issues, needs and steps necessary to annex the properties into the City.
